Waxing Warmers Vs. Microwavable Wax: The Ultimate Comparison

Waxing can be a daunting process and even more so when you do not have the right equipment. Apart from the pain that comes from getting waxed or waxing yourself, there is the fear of getting a burn, rashes or even bleeding. This means that you need to have, if not professional, at least effective products that actually serve their intended purposes-especially the wax warmers. There are different ways in which you can get your wax ready, and that includes using waxing warmers to prepare the wax or purchasing microwavable wax.

There are significant differences between wax warmers and microwavable waxes. This usually leads to people being torn apart about which one is better than the other. Wax warmers are mostly used professionally hence come with advantages such as adjustable temperature switches and a few more. Although you can still buy one to use at home, it will behoove you to understand both of these products in order to make an informed decision.

Effectiveness

The truth is, there isn’t much competition between microwavable wax cans and waxing warmers when it comes to which one is more effective. Yes, they both come with a set of advantages that allow each to function as it is supposed. But, the effects are not entirely similar. Professional wax warmers have not been in use for long, which is why most people do not know much about them and the few that do, associate them mostly with spas. For a great waxing experience, wax warmers are much better.

Safety

The most vital thing about wax is that it needs to be safe. Unlike microwavable wax, waxing warmers have been proven to be much safer when melting the wax. When heating the wax, microwavable cans do not do such a great job. The wax often heats unevenly since the microwave heat is not well controlled. This usually leads to burns when applying the wax on the skin and in extreme cases bruises. The wax has to be applied multiple times in some cases hence leading to a lot of pain and more use of the wax. Hard wax is very tricky to use and melting it using microwavable cans is not always a good idea. With different microwaves having different settings, it can be a tad difficult to control the temperatures; hence, you end up heating it too much or not enough.

Wax warmers, on the other hand, seem to be the dream of every esthetician or DIYer. With controllable temperatures and on and off switches, controlling these products is very easy. The instructions for using wax warmers are much easier compared to the counterpart that for most it seems like the safest option (which it actually is). Although it doesn’t seem as much of choice for many since they rarely wax at home, having a good quality wax warmer ensures that your wax is heated each time evenly with you controlling the whole process every step of the way. Note that when using a warmer, hard wax requires low heat and more time while soft wax needs high temperatures for a short time. This will ensure that your wax is evenly heated and that you have a smooth waxing session.

Cost

It is no shock that microwavable cans are affordable and cheap as some people might put it. This is because most of these products are not meant to last for long and with a number of uses in a month, the jar wears off-leaving you with the same option you had from the beginning. Mark my words I am not actually saying that wax warmers last forever, not at all; but in comparison to microwavable cans, wax warmers last way longer while still serving their purpose effectively.

Depending on what your aim is for using either of these products at home, one might seem more appealing than the other. How might you ask? Well, for the group of people who are into removing hair is small areas of the bodies at home after a long period, then microwavable wax is definitely the best option. But, if you want to get rid of hair on your bikini area or legs, then using a warmer is a no-brainer. In truth, the latter is more quite affordable compared to the microwavable cans since you spend a bit more on the product, but it lasts longer and works better.

These are some of the significant differences that one might pick up on when using either professional wax warmers or microwavable wax. Although the choice is solely dependent on your taste and preference, one can quite clearly notice which product is more superior than the other hence end up making a better choice.
